ARSENAL DOMINATES LEEDS 4-0 TO RESTORE SEVEN-POINT LEAD IN EPL


Arsenal reinforced their Premier League supremacy with a commanding 4-0 victory over Leeds United at Elland Road on Saturday, reclaiming a seven-point lead at the top of the table.

The Gunners overcame an unexpected pre-match setback when Bukayo Saka pulled up during warm-ups, with Noni Madueke stepping in to make an immediate impact. The winger provided a decisive assist for Martin Zubimendi’s opener before delivering a corner that resulted in an own goal by Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow, giving Arsenal a 2-0 lead by halftime.

“It was disappointing to lose Saka before kick-off, but Noni showed great composure and creativity,” said Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

After the break, Viktor Gyokeres added a third goal in the 69th minute, displaying strength and precision to outmuscle the Leeds defence. Gabriel Jesus completed the scoring late in the game, converting a pinpoint pass from Martin Ødegaard to make it 4-0, marking his fourth goal in as many matches against Leeds.

Madueke’s influence was evident throughout the match, orchestrating key moves and creating scoring opportunities. Zubimendi’s opening goal and Darlow’s unfortunate own goal highlighted the winger’s immediate impact after stepping into the starting lineup.

The win also marked Arsenal’s seventh consecutive victory at Elland Road, extending a remarkable run that dates back 25 years, and reinforcing the team’s domestic dominance.

Looking ahead, Arsenal will turn their attention to the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Chelsea at Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. Premier League action resumes next weekend with a home fixture against Sunderland, followed by a midweek trip to Brentford on February 12.

With this emphatic performance, Arsenal has sent a clear message of intent: the team is determined to maintain dominance in both domestic league and cup competitions throughout the season.
