AIYEDATIWA DISMISSES POLITICAL AIDES, PLANS APPOINTMENT OF 1,000 NEW OFFICIALS
The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all political aides in his administration of their duties with immediate effect, as part of efforts to restructure governance and improve service delivery.
Those affected by the decision include Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) to the Governor.
In an official statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing aides for their contributions to the development of the state during their time in office.
He also wished them success in their future pursuits.
The development is seen as part of a broader strategy by the administration to strengthen coordination and introduce new personnel into key support roles within government.
According to the statement, the governor is set to appoint about 1,000 new aides drawn from across the 203 wards in the 18 local government areas of Ondo State. The planned appointments are expected to reflect wider representation and enhance grassroots engagement.
No specific timeline was provided for the new appointments, but the government indicated that the process would commence in due course.
