HON. BABATUNDE AJAYI EMERGES AS KEY CONTENDER FOR ILE-OLUJI/OKEIGBO & ODIGBO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY

Hon. Olorunmodimu Babatunde Ajayi (popularly known as O.B.A) has been presented by supporters as a strong contender to represent Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Abuja, ahead of forthcoming political contests.

Supporters describe Ajayi as an experienced professional and grassroots politician with a long-standing involvement in community development and party politics within Ondo State. A trained teacher and practicing lawyer, Ajayi is said to have contributed to the education sector during his early career and later built a legal practice spanning several parts of Nigeria.

His political journey dates back to the early years of Nigeria’s Fourth Republic. He served as an elected councillor in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area between 2004 and 2007 under the Alliance for Democracy, and also held the position of Majority Leader of the Legislative House during the same period.

Ajayi has remained active within progressive political movements over the years. He is identified as a foundation member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) since its formation in 2015 and has participated in various campaign structures, including serving on the legal team for gubernatorial election campaigns in 2015 and 2019.

In addition, he has contested and aspired for legislative positions at the state level, including as a House of Assembly candidate in 2015 and an aspirant in 2022 for the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency seat.

Supporters also highlight his involvement in community support initiatives and legal advocacy, particularly in assisting individuals seeking access to justice. They describe him as accessible, experienced, and committed to public service.

As political activities gradually gather momentum, constituents and stakeholders are expected to evaluate candidates based on experience, track record, and policy direction as the process unfolds.
