APC RELEASES NOMINATION FORM FEES FOR ASPIRANTS AHEAD OF ELECTIONS

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the cost of nomination and expression of interest forms for aspirants seeking to contest under the party’s platform in forthcoming elections.

According to details made available, the fees vary across elective positions, with presidential aspirants required to pay the highest amount.

The breakdown of the approved fees is as follows:

Presidential aspirants: ₦200 million

Governorship aspirants: ₦150 million

Senatorial aspirants: ₦100 million

House of Representatives aspirants: ₦70 million

State House of Assembly aspirants: ₦20 million

The party has not, however, provided additional details regarding concessions, waivers, or timelines for the purchase of the forms at the time of filing this report.

Political analysts note that the cost of nomination forms has remained a subject of public debate, particularly regarding inclusiveness and the financial barriers faced by younger or less financially endowed aspirants.

Further official clarification from the APC is expected in the coming days.
