ONDO OFFICIAL RAZAQ OBE RESIGNS FROM PPIMU, SIGNALS POLITICAL MOVE IN IDANRE/IFEDORE
Engr. Razaq Obe has officially resigned from his position as Director General of the Performance Project Implementation Monitoring Unit (PPIMU) in Ondo State, a development that is being linked to growing political activities in the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency.
In a statement released by his media team, the resignation was described as a strategic decision aimed at enabling him to focus on what was termed a renewed commitment to the people of Idanre/Ifedore.
The statement also expressed appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for the opportunity given to Obe to serve in the administration, noting that his exit from the role was done respectfully and without any conflict with the state government.
According to the statement, the decision should not be interpreted as a sign of disloyalty to the current administration, but rather as a step towards broader political engagement and service at the constituency level.
The media team further highlighted concerns about what it described as limited development in the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency in recent years, pointing to perceived gaps in infrastructure and representation. However, these claims remain subject to public and political debate.
Observers note that Obe’s resignation may signal his intention to pursue elective office or play a more active role in constituency politics ahead of future elections.
Engr. Obe, who has previously been involved in political activities within the state, is expected to outline his next steps in the coming weeks.
