ONDO GOVERNMENT DISSOLVES BOARDS OF KEY PARASTATALS, COMMISSIONS AS TENURES EXPIRE

The Ondo State Government has officially announced the dissolution of the boards of several key parastatals and commissions following the expiration of their tenures.

In a press statement issued on April 28, 2026, the government confirmed that the decision takes immediate effect and affects major institutions across the state’s administrative and education sectors.

The affected bodies include the Ondo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), the Ondo State Local Government Service Commission, the Ondo State Muslim Welfare Board, and the Ondo State Christian Welfare Board.

In addition, the tenure of Education Secretaries across all 18 Local Government Areas in the state has also expired, bringing their appointments to an end.

According to the statement, all Chairmen, Commissioners, board members, and Education Secretaries concerned have been directed to hand over their responsibilities to the most senior administrative officers within their respective offices to ensure continuity in governance and operations.

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa expressed appreciation to the outgoing officials for their service and contributions to the development of Ondo State during their time in office.

The statement was signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan.
