The Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, has felicitated children across the council area and Nigeria at large on the occasion of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration.
In a goodwill message released on Wednesday, the council chairman described children as the pride of every nation and the foundation of a brighter future, stressing the need for continuous investment in their upbringing, education, and wellbeing.
According to Adeboye, the annual Children’s Day celebration serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility of parents, guardians, teachers, and leaders to nurture and guide children toward becoming responsible citizens.
“There is no better future without a positive upbringing. Children are our hope for a better tomorrow. Teach them well and lead them right,” the statement read.
The local government chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies and programmes that promote the welfare, safety, education, and overall development of children within Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government.
He noted that children remain critical to the future growth and development of society, adding that creating a supportive environment for them remains a priority of his administration.
Adeboye also urged stakeholders, including parents, schools, religious institutions, and community leaders, to continue investing in the moral and educational development of children to secure a better future for the country.
He further wished children a joyful celebration and prayed for a bright and fulfilling future for them.
