DJ CHICKEN ARRESTED OVER ALLEGED THREATENING VIDEO ABOUT SEYI TINUBU
Controversial disc jockey and TikTok personality, Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, has been arrested over a video he allegedly posted on social media concerning President Bola Tinubu's son, Seyi Tinubu.
The development was disclosed on Thursday by his lawyer, Rotimi Stephen.
According to the lawyer, DJ Chicken was arrested in Ikeja in connection with a video shared on his Instagram page in which he allegedly made threatening remarks directed at Seyi Tinubu. The video, delivered in Yoruba, quickly circulated across social media platforms and attracted widespread public attention.
Rotimi Stephen said his client is currently being held at the Ikeja Police Headquarters, adding that he believes officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) may also be involved in the case. However, there has been no official confirmation from the DSS regarding the claim.
Speaking on the arrest, the lawyer appealed for leniency, stating that DJ Chicken has personal challenges and should be forgiven.
He said, "DJ Chicken is now with the authorities. He was arrested in Ikeja and is currently at the Ikeja Police Headquarters. I believe the DSS may also be involved because of the statement he made concerning the President's son, Seyi Tinubu."
He further pleaded with supporters and government officials to show mercy, saying, "We appeal to fans, well-wishers and those close to the Presidency to forgive him. We are managing him, and I have taken a personal interest in helping him as part of giving back to society."
As of the time of filing this report, security agencies had not issued an official statement on the arrest or the specific allegations against DJ Chicken.
