Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government in Ondo State has kicked off an extensive road grading exercise under the leadership of the Local Government Chairman, Hon. Adeboye Adebare, aimed at improving accessibility and ease of movement across the area.

The local government, which comprises 10 wards—six in Ile-Oluji and four in Okeigbo—began the grading project from Ward I, represented by it Councilor, Hon. Ch. Akinfalarin Akinbusola, popularly known as “Florida.”

Akinfolarin expressed his appreciation to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for granting local government officials the autonomy to implement development initiatives effectively.

He also commended Chairman Adebare for his leadership and the proactive approach of the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. (Mrs.) Iyabo Adefulire.

Describing the initiative as a testament to the council’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure, Hon. Akinfolarin highlighted that the grading exercise is intended to ensure smooth and accessible roads for all residents in the local government area.

In Ward I, several key streets have already benefited from the grading, including Adebiyi Street, the Ondo Road axis of Ile-Oluji, Bolorunduro Street, and Jilubokun Estate, among others.

Residents have lauded the move, noting that it promises to ease transportation and boost local economic activities.

The road grading exercise is expected to cover all 10 political wards in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government, signaling a sustained commitment to infrastructural development under Chairman Adebare’s administration.

With this initiative, the local government reinforces its dedication to creating accessible, functional, and well-maintained roads that enhance connectivity and improve the quality of life for its residents.
