AKOR ADAMS RETURNS TO SEVILLA AFTER AFCON BRONZE MEDAL PERFORMANCE

Nigerian forward Akor Adams has rejoined his Sevilla teammates following Nigeria's bronze medal finish at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

The Super Eagles secured third place in the tournament, with Adams contributing significantly to the team's campaign.

Adams, who plays as a striker for LaLiga club Sevilla, was a key member of the Nigerian squad under coach Eric Chelle. His performances included goals and assists that helped unlock attacking potential for teammates such as Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.

Notably, Adams scored his first AFCON goal during the tournament and earned recognition for his overall contributions, including precise passing and movement that enhanced team play.

The 25-year-old forward returned to training with Sevilla alongside fellow Nigerian Chidera Ejuke, as confirmed by club updates and media reports. Adams has previously credited Sevilla for supporting his development, describing it as a pivotal club in his career.

Nigeria's bronze medal marked a strong showing in the competition, with the team demonstrating resilience throughout the knockout stages.
