APC REVISES 2026 CONGRESS SCHEDULE, EXTENDS NATIONWIDE E-REGISTRATION EXERCISE


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially revised its 2026 party congress timetable, shifting the dates for its congresses and extending the ongoing nationwide membership e-registration exercise.

According to the updated schedule approved by the party’s National Working Committee (NWC), the membership e-registration exercise has been extended to February 8, 2026, to allow more Nigerians join the party and enable existing members complete their digital registration.

Under the revised timetable, ward congresses will now hold on February 18, 2026, while local government congresses are scheduled for February 20, 2026. The party also confirmed that its national convention will take place between March 27 and March 28, 2026.

Party officials said the adjustment became necessary due to logistical and technical challenges encountered during the e-registration process, as well as the need to ensure broad participation and internal fairness ahead of the congresses.

The APC leadership noted that the extension and rescheduling align with the party’s commitment to inclusiveness, transparency, and internal democracy, stressing that no eligible member should be disenfranchised due to timing or technical issues.

The nationwide e-registration exercise forms part of the APC’s broader digital reform agenda aimed at strengthening its membership database, improving coordination, and enhancing accountability across party structures.

State chapters of the party have been directed to comply strictly with the revised schedule, while members are advised to rely only on official party communication channels for further updates.
