CBN TO RECRUIT FULLY ONLINE, CARDOSO DECLARES

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, has announced that all recruitment processes into the apex bank will henceforth be conducted entirely online.

According to Cardoso, the move is aimed at strengthening merit-based selection while promoting transparency and accountability in the CBN’s hiring system. He noted that digitising the recruitment process would help eliminate undue human interference and ensure that only qualified candidates are given fair consideration.

The CBN governor emphasized that the policy aligns with ongoing institutional reforms designed to reposition the bank in line with global best practices and restore public confidence in its operations.

Industry observers have described the decision as a commendable step in the right direction, noting that a fully online recruitment process could reduce favoritism, curb irregularities, and widen access for eligible Nigerians across the country.

The CBN is expected to provide further details on the implementation framework and timelines for the new recruitment process in due course.
