 BREAKING NEWS: ACCORD CONFIRMS UPLOADING OF GOV. ADELEKE AS ITS CANDIDATE FOR 2026 OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION

The Osun State chapter of the Accord Party has confirmed the successful uploading of Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as its duly nominated candidate for the August 8, 2026 governorship election in Osun State.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the party said Governor Adeleke’s nomination has been officially uploaded into the records of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), thereby affirming his status as the Accord’s governorship candidate for the forthcoming election.

The party noted that the confirmation by INEC puts to rest speculations and uncertainty surrounding the party’s governorship ticket ahead of the 2026 polls.

Accord expressed appreciation to the people of Osun State for their continued support, solidarity, and confidence in the party and in Governor Adeleke’s leadership. The party urged its members and supporters to remain focused and avoid distractions as preparations for the election intensify.

The party further called on eligible voters across the state to ensure they are properly registered and in possession of their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in readiness for the August 8, 2026 governorship election.

According to the statement, Accord remains committed to promoting peaceful political engagement and sustaining policies aimed at development, stability, and people-oriented governance in Osun State.
