Christ Hope Church has donated foodstuffs to 1,000 wives of serving police officers in Lagos State as part of its ongoing humanitarian outreach programme.

The donation was disclosed in a statement issued on Wednesday, where the church said it had intensified its monthly hunger relief initiative targeted at families of police officers serving in the state.

According to the statement, the outreach programme was held at the Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) secretariat in Ikeja, Lagos, and was designed to ease the economic and domestic pressures faced by law enforcement families amid prevailing economic challenges.

The church noted that beneficiaries received essential food items, including bags of rice, beans, garri, and other staple food supplies, aimed at meeting basic household nutrition needs.

Beyond food distribution, the programme also featured health support services, providing basic medical assistance and wellness awareness to the women.

Christ Hope Church explained that the initiative reflects its commitment to supporting families of security personnel who play critical roles in maintaining peace and order in society.

Leaders of the Police Officers’ Wives Association expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful, particularly for households managing rising living costs.

The church added that the hunger relief programme would be sustained monthly as part of its broader humanitarian and community support efforts across Lagos State.
