Stay Informed, Stay Real!
The Janaza (Islamic funeral prayer) for two close friends and members of British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua’s team—Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif “Latz” Kevin Ayodele—has been scheduled to hold in the United Kingdom.
The funeral prayer will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at the London Central Mosque (Regent’s Park Mosque).
According to information shared by family representatives, the prayer is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at the mosque located on Park Road, London.
The deceased were part of Anthony Joshua’s inner team, with Ghami serving as his strength and conditioning coach, while Ayodele was his personal trainer.
Their deaths followed a fatal road accident on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State on December 29, 2025. Anthony Joshua, who was also involved in the crash, reportedly survived with minor injuries and has since returned to the UK to recover.
Sources close to the boxer say Joshua is considering attending the funeral but remains cautious to ensure media presence does not disrupt the families’ private mourning.
The tragic incident has continued to draw tributes from across the global boxing community, including messages from promoters, fighters, and fans.
