ILE-OLUJI STUDENTS BENEFIT FROM I.N.U's SCHOLARSHIP INITIATIVE DURING 2026 ANNIVERSARY - Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria

The Ile-Oluji National Union (I.N.U) of Akure chapter has marked its 2026 annual anniversary with the presentation of scholarship awards to deserving indigenous students, reaffirming its commitment to educational development and youth empowerment within the community.
The event, which attracted community leaders, parents, education stakeholders, permanent secretaries , families, friends, well wishers and beneficiaries, highlighted the union’s longstanding dedication to investing in the future of its people through education.
Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of the union such as Builder Olushola Olowosile (Patron and immediate past president), Pastor Niran Adeyemo(Current president and Former Ondo State Head of service),Prof. Tayo Awoniyi, Dr Afolabi Adewakun, High chief Mrs Feyisola Owate, Mr olufemi Oni(rtd Teacher), Alhaji Omiata ( Chief Imam of Ileoluji) described education as a critical tool for community growth and sustainable development, noting that the scholarship scheme was designed to ease the financial burden on parents while encouraging academic excellence among students.
They emphasized the contribution of I.N.U to various developmental projects in Ileoluji and that the initiative forms part of I.N.U’s broader social responsibility efforts aimed at nurturing talent and promoting equal access to learning opportunities for indigenous students.
High chief Mrs Feyisola Owate appealed to parents and guardians to take care of their wards and ensure they monitor the company they keep as well as how they dress.
In his speech,the chairman planning committee Mr Adeniranye Funmiwa a.k.a Oshin appreciated the elders of I.N.U for being good role models and their support in keeping I.N.U alive until today.
Highlights of the event was the presentation of cash award to scholarship beneficiaries by the chairman screening committee prof. Tayo Fagbemi.
Some of the beneficiaries are Ijimolu Olusafikayomi, Omoboyowa Prescious, Akinfolarin Temitayo, Solaride Oluwakemi,Adenisimi Adejoke, Sebolatan Promise, Adekanbi Ayodeji and Ijimolu David.
In his vote of thanks,Engr. Joel Akinduyite( Vice president I.N.U) appreciated the planning committee,guests,elders,sons and daughters of Ile-Oluji for making the anniversary a memorable one while urging scholarship recipients to make good use of the cash awards.
Guests were entertained by the Banky band as they wine and dine.
