ILE-OLUJI/OKEIGBO LG UNVEILS 2026 “BUDGET OF RENEWED STRENGTH”, TARGETS GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT


The Executive Chairman of Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area, Hon. Adebare Adeboye, has presented the 2026 budget, tagged “Budget of Renewed Strength,” outlining his administration’s commitment to accelerated development and improved service delivery at the grassroots level.

The budget presentation, held at a well-attended ceremony, highlighted key priorities aimed at strengthening the local economy, expanding infrastructure, and enhancing the overall quality of life for residents of the local government area.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. Adeboye said the 2026 budget is designed to consolidate ongoing projects while introducing new initiatives that will deepen socio-economic development across communities in Ileoluji/Okeigbo.

The chairman noted that his administration has already recorded progress in critical areas, including solar-powered infrastructure, road rehabilitation, market renovation, and social welfare programmes such as financial support for the elderly, as well as women and youth empowerment initiatives.

According to him, the “Budget of Renewed Strength” will further boost economic activities, particularly in infrastructure development and social intervention programmes tailored to uplift vulnerable groups and stimulate local productivity.

Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government’s economy is largely agriculture-based, with cocoa production serving as a major source of livelihood and revenue. The budget, the chairman said, places emphasis on supporting agricultural growth and value addition to strengthen the local economy.

The event was attended by key stakeholders, including the Leader of the Legislative Arm and councillors, the Vice Chairman, Secretary to the Local Government, Chief of Staff, Supervisors, Advisers, the Head of Local Government Administration, Directors, members of staff, and party chieftains.

The presentation marked another step in the local government’s efforts to promote accountable governance and sustainable development at the grassroots.
