COURT SACKS JULIUS ABURE AS LABOUR PARTY CHAIRMAN, NAMES AUTHENTIC LEADER

In a decisive ruling today, a Federal High Court has nullified the leadership of Mr. Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party. The court declared that Abure’s chairmanship was unauthorized, and recognized the authentic leadership of the party, effectively restoring its legally recognized executives.

The judgment comes after a prolonged dispute over the party’s leadership, which had seen internal factions claiming control. The court’s decision confirms the party’s authentic leadership structure, putting an end to ongoing internal conflicts.

Party members have welcomed the ruling, describing it as a step towards stability and cohesion within the Labour Party ahead of the upcoming political activities.

The court also emphasized that all decisions taken by Abure’s faction during the disputed period are considered null and void. Party officials are now expected to align with the leadership recognized by the court to ensure proper administration and compliance with electoral regulations.
