MAKINDE PAYS TRIBUTE TO OSINBAJO, SAYS THINGS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT HIM

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has expressed heartfelt admiration for former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, describing him as a stabilising force whose absence is deeply felt in the current administration.

Makinde made the remarks while speaking at a public event attended by political leaders and stakeholders, where he reflected on Osinbajo’s leadership style and contributions to governance.

“I personally miss you as the Vice President. Things have not really been the same in this present administration,” the governor said.

The Oyo State governor noted that Osinbajo’s tenure as Vice President was marked by intellectual depth, humility and a strong commitment to national unity, adding that his approach to leadership inspired confidence across political divides.

Makinde praised Osinbajo for his calm disposition and ability to manage complex national issues, particularly during challenging moments in the previous administration. He said the former Vice President consistently demonstrated statesmanship and a clear sense of purpose in public service.

The remarks have since sparked conversations among political observers, with many interpreting them as a reflection on leadership quality, institutional memory and the value of experience in governance.

Prof. Osinbajo served as Nigeria’s Vice President from 2015 to 2023 and played a key role in policy coordination, economic management and constitutional governance during his time in office.
