OROWHEDOR, OBOREVWORI EXPRESS CONCERN OVER LOW TURNOUT IN APC MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION, RE-VALIDATION

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Membership Registration and Revalidation Committee in Delta State, Orowhedor, alongside Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed concern over the low turnout of party members participating in the ongoing APC membership registration and revalidation exercise.

Speaking during a monitoring visit to several registration centres across the state, the party leaders described the level of participation as unsatisfactory, noting that the exercise is crucial to strengthening the party’s structure ahead of future political engagements.

They urged party faithful, supporters, and prospective members to take advantage of the exercise to formally register or revalidate their membership, stressing that a credible and updated membership register remains fundamental to effective party organization and internal democracy.

Orowhedor emphasized that the registration and revalidation process is designed to promote inclusiveness and unity within the party, while also ensuring accurate records at ward, local government, and state levels.

Governor Oborevwori, on his part, called on party leaders at the grassroots to intensify mobilisation efforts, warning that apathy could undermine the party’s growth and electoral prospects. He also assured members that the exercise would be conducted transparently and without discrimination.

The APC registration and revalidation exercise is ongoing nationwide, with party officials expected to submit compiled data to the national secretariat at the conclusion of the process.
