The Resident Pastor of Mercy Gate Christian Fellowship, Akure Ondo State, Pastor Waleola Akinfiresoye, has delivered a powerful New Year's message, declaring that 2026 will be a year of divine alignment and overcoming challenges. 


During the church's Annual Thanksgiving Service on January 4, 2026, Pastor Akinfiresoye emphasized that despite potential difficulties, the year will ultimately end in praise and produce resilient individuals.


In his sermon, "Divine Alignment, setting the priority right," Pastor Akinfiresoye cited Proverbs 3:5-7, stressing the importance of trusting God's guidance and wisdom. He noted that challenges are inevitable, but they will serve as opportunities for growth, enabling believers to become overcomers when they walk with God.


"Challenges will come, but they will make us overcomers if we walk with God," Pastor Akinfiresoye said. 


"The key is to prioritize divine alignment and trust in God's sovereignty."


The pastor's message has resonated with the congregation, emphasizing the need for spiritual sensitivity, faith, and obedience to navigate 2026 successfully.
