OLDEST MAN IN OKEHO DIES AS COMMUNITY MOURNS PROPHET ENOCH OKE ADEBAYO


The Okeho community in Kajola Local Government Area of Oyo State has been thrown into mourning following the death of Prophet Enoch Oke Adebayo, widely described by residents as the oldest man in the town.

Prophet Adebayo reportedly passed away on Sunday, with family members and community leaders confirming his death. He was revered not only for his age but also for his role as a spiritual leader and custodian of local history.

According to relatives and community sources, the late cleric was believed to be 146 years old at the time of his death. However, no official birth records were immediately available to independently verify the exact age.

Residents described Prophet Adebayo as a respected figure whose life spanned several generations, earning him admiration as a living symbol of endurance, faith, and tradition in Okeho.

“He was more than an elderly man; he was a reference point for history and spiritual guidance in this community,” a local elder said.

The deceased was known for his prophetic ministry and long-standing influence within the Christian community in the area. Many residents said his presence shaped both religious life and communal values over decades.
