The Ile-Oluji community in Ondo State has continued to receive commendation following the outstanding academic achievement of Professor Stephen Adefegha, who emerged as a recipient of the Nigerian Academy of Science (NAS) Presentation of the Year 2025 – Gold Medal Award.

The prestigious award, announced in Abuja, recognises Professor Adefegha’s exceptional scholarly presentation and his significant contributions to scientific research and academic excellence in Nigeria. The Nigerian Academy of Science is the country’s foremost scientific body, and its Gold Medal Award is reserved for scholars who demonstrate originality, depth, and global relevance in their academic work.

The award ceremony attracted notable personalities, including the immediate past Ondo State Commissioner for Finance, Mr. Adewale Akinterinwa, who is also an indigene of Ile-Oluji.
