Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has arrived in Abuja following an invitation from the national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the recent crisis that disrupted the party’s congress in the state.

The governor was summoned in the wake of violent incidents linked to the party’s internal processes, which reportedly led to the loss of lives, injuries to party members, and damage to vehicles and other property. The development has heightened concerns among party stakeholders and political observers across the state.

Sources within the party confirmed that Governor Aiyedatiwa arrived in the Federal Capital Territory on Thursday to brief the national leadership on the circumstances surrounding the unrest and the steps taken so far to restore calm. As of the time of filing this report, he remained in Abuja for consultations with party officials.
