GOVERNOR AIYEDATIWA APPOINT TOFOWOMO, 31 OTHERS AS PERMANENT SECRETARIES
The Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Dr Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the Ondo State Civil Service, in a move aimed at strengthening public sector administration and service delivery.
According to an official statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the approvals followed due administrative processes and recommendations from relevant service commissions.
The newly confirmed Permanent Secretaries are:
Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo; Mrs Tayo Ogundare; Mrs Morayo M. Bayo-Philip; Adeyemi Sule; Mrs Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi; Olanrewaju Abiodun; Tope Lebile, mni; Stephen R. Aworere; Omotayo Akeju; Olufemi Moyinolorun; Olakunle Ajibade; Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi; Bamidele Daisi; Engr. Akinluyi Omotola; Olumide Kinga; Mrs Ope Adetoye; Olusiji Olatunji; Mrs Oluseyi Odusola; Mrs Funke Adelayi; Dr Akindele Ige; Olanrewaju Akarakiri; Dr Mrs Abike Ilawole; Kolawole B. Kayode; Dr Peter Akingbade; Ayodeji Ogudare; Adeduro Niyi Akinbola; Engr. Ibidapo Ojo; Olusegun Orisabinone; Surv. Idowu A. Owolabi; Adeoye O. Atibioke; Mrs Toyin O. Awotoye; and Ayodeji Ayeku.
In addition, Governor Aiyedatiwa approved the confirmation of two senior officers into key statutory positions within the state’s public service framework.
They are Olusola Sunday Ajayi, confirmed as Statistician-General of Ondo State, and Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape, confirmed as Auditor-General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly, in line with constitutional provisions.
The statement noted that all confirmations and appointments take effect from February 1, 2026, underscoring the administration’s commitment to continuity and administrative stability.
It was also disclosed that the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed officers will be announced at a later date.
Governor Aiyedatiwa has consistently emphasized professionalism, accountability, and efficiency in public service as key pillars of his administration’s governance agenda.
