The Congress of the Ondo South Advancement & Welfare Consultative Association (OSAWA) has approved a 31-month extension of tenure for its President, Prince Ade-Aworetan Oluwajuwon Adejare, following deliberations at its latest congress meeting.
The decision was reached during a session that accommodated both physical and virtual participation from members across various chapters. According to officials present, the extension reflects what the Congress described as broad confidence in the current leadership and its ongoing initiatives.
Delegates acknowledged the administration’s focus on strengthening internal cohesion, enhancing stakeholder engagement, and promoting the socio-economic interests of indigenes of Ondo South under the association’s platform. They also noted that continuity in leadership was considered necessary to sustain ongoing programmes and ensure stability within the organization.
Over the course of his tenure, Adejare has overseen advocacy efforts and developmental engagements aimed at advancing the association’s objectives. Congress members stated that extending the leadership term would allow the organization to consolidate existing projects and execute planned strategic initiatives.
In his response, President Adejare expressed appreciation to members for what he described as a renewed mandate of trust. He reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the association’s developmental goals, strengthening unity among members, and maintaining constructive engagement with relevant stakeholders.
The Congress emphasized that the tenure extension is intended to provide administrative continuity while positioning the association for sustained progress in the coming years.
