Lagos APC Encourages Grassroots Participation Ahead of 2027 Elections

Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders have urged members to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general election.

The call came from the Lagos APC Chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, and Senator Tokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, during a stakeholders’ meeting in the Ikorodu area. Party members at the event endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term.

Senator Abiru highlighted the need for unity among party members, stating that the meeting was aimed at consolidating support for the President. He added that the ongoing party registration exercise reflects the organisational strength of the Ikorodu division.

“The registration exercise shows the resourcefulness and capacity of Ikorodu. This will serve as the platform to galvanise grassroots support for the party and the President,” Abiru said.

Ojelabi noted that Ikorodu led the APC’s electronic registration exercise in Lagos State, out of the state’s 20 local government areas and 37 LCDAs. He described this as a demonstration of the area’s readiness to engage voters effectively ahead of the 2027 election.

He also emphasised the importance of unity within the party and the collective responsibility of members to communicate the achievements of the current administration. “We are not taking anything for granted. In order to consolidate on the administration’s achievements, all of us must work together,” Ojelabi said.
