As Ondo State marks its golden jubilee, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the government and good people of this great state. Fifty years of statehood is not just a milestone—it is a testament to resilience, cultural richness, and unwavering commitment to progress.

This celebration is a time to honour the visionaries and founding fathers whose courage, foresight, and sacrifice laid the foundation for Ondo State. Their dedication created a state that continues to flourish, nurturing generations of leaders, thinkers, and innovators who have contributed to its growth and identity.

Over the decades, Ondo State has distinguished itself through education, agriculture, commerce, and culture, earning the proud title of the Sunshine State. From fertile lands and industrious communities to brilliant minds shaping Nigeria’s future, Ondo stands as a beacon of light in our nation’s story.

As we reflect on our past achievements, we also look forward with renewed determination toward unity, sustainable development, and prosperity for all sons and daughters of Ondo State. Mathew Oye Oyerinmade, popularly known as MATO, has emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives Primary Election for Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency in Ondo State, defeating incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Festus Adefiranye, by a wide margin.
