PHILANTHROPIST KENNY ADEKANMI CALLS FOR RENEWED COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABLE STATE DEVELOPMENT
A prominent grassroots philanthropist and youth development advocate, Prince Kenny Adekanmi, popularly known as Kenny Kunma, has urged political leaders and stakeholders in Ondo State to renew their commitment to sustainable development as the state marks its 50th anniversary.
Adekanmi made the call in a goodwill message issued to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Ondo State, describing the milestone as both a celebration of progress and an opportunity for sober reflection on the state’s development trajectory.
He said the anniversary provides a platform to consolidate the legacies of past administrations while repositioning the state to better reflect its age in critical areas such as infrastructure, economic growth, and social development.
According to him, Ondo State has, over the last five decades, made notable contributions to Nigeria’s national development through its political participation, financial engagement, and steady supply of human capital. He described the state as an important partner in sustaining the country’s political stability and economic advancement.
Adekanmi commended the resilience, dedication, and achievements of the people of Ondo State, noting that the Golden Jubilee offers an opportunity to celebrate past accomplishments while charting a more strategic course for the future.
He called on political office holders, traditional institutions, professionals, and other stakeholders to use the anniversary as a moment for reflection and deliberate planning aimed at accelerating growth and strengthening governance outcomes across the state.
Emphasising the need for a pragmatic approach to leadership, Adekanmi stressed that current and future efforts must prioritise inclusive development, long-term planning, and people-centred policies capable of delivering lasting benefits for future generations.
He congratulated the government and people of Ondo State on the Golden Jubilee celebration and expressed optimism that the Sunshine State would continue to record peace, progress, and prosperity in the years ahead.
