2027: PRESSURE MOUNTS AS ADEKANMI CONSIDERS OKITIPUPA/IRELE REPS RACE

PRESSURE MOUNTS AS ADEKANMI CONSIDERS OKITIPUPA/IRELE REPS RACE

Speculation is growing over the possible entry of philanthropist Prince Kenny Adekanmi into the race to represent Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency of Ondo State in the House of Representatives.

Adekanmi, widely known as Kenny Kunma, recently confirmed during a live radio programme that he has been receiving sustained calls from individuals and groups across the constituency urging him to contest in the forthcoming general elections.

According to him, the appeals have come from various communities within the federal constituency, reflecting what he described as consistent and widespread support for his potential candidacy.

“There is persistent and consistent pressure on me to contest and represent Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency at the National Assembly,” he said.

“Different groups across the constituency have been reaching out to me to run. I am currently consulting and will make my decision known very soon.”

Despite the growing momentum, Adekanmi noted that he is not rushing into a decision, emphasizing the importance of ongoing consultations before making any formal declaration.

Political observers say his eventual participation could influence the political landscape in Ondo South Senatorial District, given his visibility and philanthropic engagements within the region.

As the 2027 general elections approach, attention is expected to remain on key stakeholders and potential aspirants whose decisions may shape the emerging political dynamics in the state.
