The Akure Chapter of the Ile-Oluji National Union (INU) held its March monthly meeting on Sunday, March 1, 2026, in a well-attended gathering marked by goodwill messages, deliberations on community development, and renewed commitments to youth empowerment. The meeting commenced at about 3:00 p.m. and took place at the B-Happy Hotel Hall, Ajipowo Street, Ondo Road, Akure, with Mr. Kunle Awolola, Special Assistant to the Ondo State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Hon. The union is led by its President, Pastor Niran Adeyemo, a former Head of Service in Ondo State. In his welcome address, Pastor Adeyemo greeted members warmly, congratulated them on the new month, and offered prayers for prosperity, unity, and continued progress among indigenes of Ile-Oluji. He reiterated that the core objective of the association is to promote the growth and development of the Ile-Oluji Kingdom through unity, structured engagement, and collective responsibility.

During deliberations, members discussed key issues affecting the community and emphasized the need for sustained cooperation among indigenes residing in Akure and beyond. The President urged members to remain law-abiding and security-conscious in line with directives issued by the Ondo State Police Command. He encouraged adherence to public safety advisories, including guidance relating to late-night activities, as part of broader efforts to strengthen security across Ondo State.

The meeting attracted scores of Ile-Oluji indigenes living in Akure. Notable attendees included Builder Olowosile, a former President of the union and now a Life Patron; High Chief (Mrs.) Owate Feyisola, the Sasere-Lobun Elect of Ile-Oluji Kingdom; and Chief Segun Odusanya, Chairman of Permanent Secretaries in Ondo State. Their participation reflected continued stakeholder support for the union’s developmental agenda.

A major highlight of the gathering was the reaffirmation of the union’s annual support initiatives for youths, including empowerment programmes, scholarships, and other human capacity-building efforts. Members were informed that there would be an increase in the financial support provided yearly to Ile-Oluji students across tertiary institutions, underscoring the union’s commitment to investing in education and future leadership development. The meeting concluded on an optimistic note, with members expressing readiness to sustain collaborative efforts aimed at advancing the overall progress of Ile-Oluji Kingdom.
