MYSTERY IN ONDO COMMUNITY AS PASTOR’S CORPSE REPORTEDLY DISAPPEARS FROM MORTUARY IN ILE-OLUJI



A developing incident in Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, has sparked concern after the corpse of a deceased pastor reportedly went missing from a mortuary where it had been deposited ahead of burial arrangements.


According to information gathered on Thursday morning, the body of the late cleric had earlier been taken to a local mortuary in the town for preservation and preparation ahead of the scheduled burial rites.


However, relatives of the deceased who arrived at the facility early in the day to retrieve the body for the next stage of burial preparations were reportedly unable to locate the corpse. Mortuary attendants were also said to have conducted checks within the facility but could not immediately account for the missing body.


The situation has since generated confusion among family members and residents in the community, as efforts were reportedly initiated to determine what may have happened.


At the time of filing this report, the name of the mortuary involved has not been officially disclosed, while authorities are expected to begin inquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the disappearance.


Sources within the community indicate that further information may emerge as investigations progress. Meanwhile, relatives of the deceased pastor are said to be awaiting clarification from the mortuary management and relevant authorities.
