ADEBOYE ADEBARE HAILS BABATUNDE’S EMERGENCE AS ONDO APC CHAIRMAN, COMMENDS AIYEDATIWA FOR PEACEFUL CONGRESS
The Executive Chairman of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Hon. Adeboye Adebare, has congratulated the newly elected State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, following his emergence at the party’s state congress.
Babatunde was returned as chairman through a consensus arrangement at the congress held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the International Culture and Event Centre, The Dome in Akure, the state capital.
In a congratulatory message, Adebare described Babatunde’s emergence as timely and reflective of the party’s collective resolve to strengthen its internal structure. He stated that the new chairman represents “the best hand the party needs at this period,” expressing confidence in his capacity to provide strategic leadership and unity within the state chapter.
The local government chairman also commended the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for his leadership role in ensuring a peaceful and orderly conduct of the congress across the state. According to Adebare, the peaceful atmosphere witnessed during the exercise underscores the administration’s commitment to stability and internal party cohesion.
He further extended his congratulations to other members of the newly elected State Working Committee, urging them to work collaboratively in advancing the party’s objectives and sustaining unity among stakeholders.
The Ondo APC state congress produced new executive members through a consensus process, with party leaders describing the exercise as successful and in line with constitutional guidelines.
