ILE-OLUJI AUTHORITIES ANNOUNCE STRICT CRACKDOWN ON ONE-WAY TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS

Residents and motorists in Ile-Oluji have been officially notified of a new traffic enforcement directive aimed at restoring order and improving road safety within the town.

The Oijefon Youth Council (OYC), in collaboration with city security agencies, announced the introduction of a strict “No One-Way” policy along the double-lane stretch from Asio to Ore-Ofe Junction. The directive is set to take effect from Monday, April 20, 2026.

According to the notice issued under the leadership of Engr. Adedokun Adeyonu, the initiative is designed to address the growing concerns over traffic violations, particularly the persistent act of driving against the flow of traffic.

The council emphasized that any motorist found violating the one-way rule within the designated corridor will face an immediate fine of ₦20,000. Enforcement will be carried out by a joint task force comprising members of the OYC and various security agencies operating within the area.

Authorities noted that the measure is part of a broader effort to enhance road safety, reduce avoidable accidents, and promote a more organized traffic system in Ile-Oluji.

Residents and commercial drivers have been urged to comply fully with the new regulation, as officials insist that the policy is intended to safeguard lives rather than create hardship for road users.

The OYC further called on the public to support the initiative, stressing that collective adherence to traffic laws is essential to achieving the vision of a safer and more orderly Ile-Oluji.
