CDCFIB RELEASES 2025 CBT RESULTS, SETS STAGE FOR PHYSICAL SCREENING IN PARAMILITARY RECRUITMENT
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has officially released the results and performance analysis of the 2025 Computer-Based Test (CBT) conducted for recruitment into Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies.
The announcement, issued between April 20 and 21, 2026, provides clarity for over one million applicants who participated in the nationwide recruitment exercise covering the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
According to verified data from the board, a total of 1,120,491 applications were successfully submitted. However, 360,923 candidates were disqualified during the screening phase due to discrepancies in their applications, while 432,935 entries were classified as incomplete.
Out of the valid applicants, 872,391 candidates sat for the CBT examination, reflecting a high level of participation across the country.
A breakdown of performance scores indicates a competitive selection process. The data shows that 221,996 candidates scored between 0 and 40, while 229,155 candidates fell within the 41 to 60 range. A larger proportion, 278,543 candidates, scored between 61 and 80.
Additionally, 108,142 candidates recorded scores between 81 and 90, while 34,555 candidates emerged as top performers with scores ranging from 91 to 100.
The board stated that progression to the next stage of the recruitment process will be strictly based on merit, with only the highest-performing candidates from each state expected to advance.
While confirming that the recruitment exercise remains ongoing, CDCFIB noted that the initial application portal has been closed. The next phase—physical screening and document verification—is currently being finalized.
Shortlisted candidates are expected to monitor official updates through the designated recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
Applicants were also advised to rely solely on official communication channels and disregard unsolicited messages or third-party emails to avoid falling victim to fraud.
In a related development, the board announced the commencement of the first batch of its 2026 promotion exercise for serving officers, indicating ongoing administrative processes within the services.
As of April 21, 2026, the official dates for the physical screening exercise have not yet been announced. Applicants are therefore encouraged to remain attentive to updates from the board.
The release of the CBT results is expected to address earlier concerns linked to portal disruptions and misinformation, while marking a significant step toward the completion of one of Nigeria’s largest paramilitary recruitment exercises.
