ONDO MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY KILLING TWO SISTERS, FIVE-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER


A tragic incident has shaken residents of Okitipupa Local Government Area in Ondo State following the arrest of a 28-year-old man, identified as Femi Agbeye, over the alleged killing of two of his sisters and his five-year-old daughter.

The incident reportedly occurred on April 8 at the Agbeye family residence located on Doctor’s Road in the Government Reserved Area of Okitipupa.

According to accounts from family members, the suspect allegedly gained access to the apartment, locked himself inside, and carried out the attack.

The suspect’s father, Ade Agbeye, disclosed that his son had a history of substance abuse and had previously made violent threats against family members.

He explained that the disturbing situation had been ongoing for some time, alleging that the suspect had threatened to harm both him and his wife prior to the incident.

Ade further stated that the tragic discovery was made when family members entered the residence and found the victims lying lifeless in one of the rooms. He immediately reported the matter to the police.

He also alleged that the suspect had been previously arrested but was later released, despite concerns raised by the family.

Some residents in the area corroborated parts of the incident, noting that the suspect was seen forcing his way into the apartment before the attack occurred.

The Ondo State Police Command has confirmed the incident. The Police Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Abayomi, stated that a full investigation is currently underway.

He assured residents that the command is handling the case with due diligence and urged the public to remain calm, emphasizing that justice would be served.

The incident has sparked concern within the community, with many calling for stronger interventions in cases involving individuals with a history of violent behavior and substance abuse.
