ADEOGUN GAINS MASSIVE SUPPORT IN OSE, REAFFIRMS READINESS FOR ONDO NORTH SENATE RACE


Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Adejoro Adeogun, has reaffirmed his ambition to represent Ondo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Adeogun made this known during a visit to Ifon and Idoani communities in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State on Thursday, where he met with All Progressives Congress (APC) executives, stakeholders, youths, and women groups.

Speaking during the engagement, the APC chieftain said his senatorial aspiration was driven by a desire to provide purposeful representation and contribute meaningfully to the development of Ondo North through quality legislation and people-oriented leadership.

According to him, his previous experience at the House of Representatives between 2019 and 2023 positioned him to deliver effective representation and support President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

Adeogun stated that his focus remains on attracting socioeconomic development to communities across the senatorial district while promoting opportunities for young people.

“This journey is beyond politics. I am in the race because the current political climate requires courage, competence, compassion, and experience, which I believe I possess. I am committed to creating more opportunities for our young people and supporting community development,” he said.

During the meeting, Adeogun also addressed speculations suggesting a disagreement between him and the Ondo State Governor.

He noted that he served as the APC State Agent during the November 2024 governorship election, describing the role as one reserved for trusted party loyalists.

“That responsibility reflected the mutual respect between the Governor and myself. I urge my supporters to continue to respect and pray for the Governor as he leads the state,” he added.

Party leaders and stakeholders at the gathering commended Adeogun’s political approach and contributions during his time in office.

A representative of the APC leadership in Ose Local Government described him as a leader known for humility, integrity, and performance, adding that his continued grassroots engagement was strengthening the party within the district.

Another stakeholder at the meeting praised Adeogun for maintaining an issue-based campaign and for remaining connected to the people.

The former lawmaker also met with residents and party faithful in Ifon, Idoani, and Elegbeka communities, where community representatives highlighted developmental challenges affecting their areas and appealed for greater support and intervention.

Several speakers at the event expressed support for Adeogun’s senatorial ambition ahead of the APC primaries.
