APC SENATORIAL BATTLE EXPLODES AS PARTY CLEARS 16 ASPIRANTS FOR HIGH-STAKES ONDO SHOWDOWN


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released the list of screened and qualified senatorial aspirants for the forthcoming party primaries in Ondo State, setting the stage for what political observers describe as a fierce and highly competitive contest across the three senatorial districts.

According to the document obtained by Opima RealNews, a total of 16 aspirants were cleared by the party to participate in the APC senatorial primary elections.

In Ondo North Senatorial District, the cleared aspirants include Alexander Oluremi Ayipe, Senator Olajide Emmanuel Ipinsagba, Hon. Adejoro Adeogun, Michael Abayomi Adeyanju, and Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye.

For Ondo Central Senatorial District, Senator Adeniyi A. Adebomire and Dr. Taiwo Fasoranti were both cleared to contest.

Meanwhile, the Ondo South Senatorial District recorded the highest number of cleared aspirants. Those cleared include Princess Carthrina, Akinfolarin Mayo Samuel, Barrister Morayo Lebi, Akinboye Taiwo, Rt. Hon. Jumoke Akindele, Sylvester Muyiwa Adu, Hon. Dr. D.I. Kekemeke, H.E Ajayi Alfred Agboola, and Abdul Mohammed Adetunyi.

The release of the list has already intensified political tension within the party, especially in districts where multiple influential figures are battling for the APC ticket ahead of the general elections.

Party stakeholders and supporters are now awaiting the conduct of the primaries, which are expected to shape the political direction of the APC in Ondo State ahead of the next electoral cycle.

Political analysts believe the emergence of eventual candidates could trigger major realignments within the party structure, as loyalists of various aspirants continue underground mobilization across the state.
