APC SUPPORTERS MOBILISE VOTERS AHEAD OF IDANRE/IFEDORE REPS PRIMARY ELECTION


Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency have intensified mobilisation efforts ahead of the party’s National Assembly primary election scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026.

In a statement circulated by a group identified as “Idanre Youths Both Home and Diaspora,” eligible APC members were encouraged to participate actively in the exercise and support the re-election bid of the incumbent House of Representatives member, Hon. Festus Akingbaso, popularly known as “Fessywest.”

The group urged party members with valid APC membership cards to arrive early at the designated ward collation centres across the constituency to cast their votes peacefully.

According to the statement, the primary election represents an opportunity for party faithful to sustain what the group described as continuity and effective representation in the National Assembly.

Hon. Akingbaso currently represents Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and is seeking the APC ticket to contest again in the 2027 general elections.

The APC has continued preparations for its nationwide primaries as aspirants across various constituencies intensify consultations and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the exercise.

Party officials have repeatedly appealed to members and supporters to conduct themselves peacefully during the primaries and adhere to the party’s electoral guidelines.
