POLICE URGED TO INVESTIGATE ALLEGATIONS LINKED TO IDANRE ASSEMBLY ASPIRANT

A public notice circulating within Idanre Constituency, Ondo State, has called on security agencies and members of the public to assist with information relating to the whereabouts of Hon. Oyewole Aderemi, popularly known as “Gulder,” an aspirant for the Ondo State House of Assembly seat representing Idanre Constituency.

According to the notice dated May 19, 2025, the request was issued by a group identified as “Concerned Stakeholder, Idanre Constituency.” The statement alleged that the Nigeria Police Force is investigating matters connected to an alleged incident involving loss of life in the constituency, as well as the reported theft of cement materials reportedly designated for sculpture artwork projects at Idanre Hill City.

The notice urged anyone with credible information that may assist investigators to contact the nearest police station or the Idanre Police Division. It also appealed to residents to remain calm, cooperate with law enforcement authorities, and avoid taking the law into their own hands.

As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official public statement from the Ondo State Police Command confirming the claims contained in the notice. Efforts to independently verify the allegations were unsuccessful, and Hon. Oyewole Aderemi has not publicly responded to the claims.

Authorities are expected to provide further clarification as investigations continue.
