AIYEDATIWA LAUNCHES STATEWIDE POLITICAL MOBILISATION NETWORK FOR TINUBU’S 2027 RE-ELECTION IN ONDO

Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has formally inaugurated the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, describing the initiative as a structured grassroots mobilisation platform aimed at strengthening political engagement ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The inauguration ceremony, held on Tuesday at the Gani Fawehinmi Arcade Ground in Akure, brought together party stakeholders, government officials, and supporters from across the 18 local government areas of the state.

Speaking at the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa said the programme represents a coordinated effort to build an organised political structure capable of driving engagement at the community level. He noted that the initiative is designed to move beyond symbolic activities and focus on systematic mobilisation across wards and local councils.

According to the governor, participants in the programme are expected to serve as key representatives in communicating government policies and programmes to residents, with emphasis on clarity, consistency, and community-level engagement.

He explained that the initiative aligns with broader national political strategies within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), aimed at consolidating support ahead of the next general elections.

Aiyedatiwa highlighted ongoing infrastructure and economic initiatives, including road development projects and efforts to boost agriculture and investment, stating that alignment between federal and state policies is critical to sustaining development.

He also urged members of the newly inaugurated structure to maintain discipline and focus in their responsibilities, emphasising that effective mobilisation requires organisation and credible engagement with citizens.

In a message delivered on his behalf, Governor of Imo State and Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Senator Hope Uzodinma, described the initiative as a strategic effort to strengthen grassroots political structures nationwide.

Represented by the South-West Coordinator of the group, Senator Adedayo Adeyeye, Uzodinma said the platform is intended to deepen community engagement and enhance awareness of government policies. He referenced ongoing economic and administrative reforms, noting their impact on revenue generation and state allocations.

Also speaking, the Ondo State Chairman of the APC, Hon. Babatunde Kolawole, commended the turnout at the event, describing it as a demonstration of party unity and organisational strength across the state.

In his welcome address, the Ondo State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, said the initiative is focused on improving communication between government and citizens while addressing misinformation.

He outlined the operational structure of the programme, which includes coordinators at state, local government, and ward levels, supported by a multi-tier membership framework. According to him, activities will include town hall meetings, stakeholder engagements, and public awareness campaigns.

The event was attended by top government officials, including the Deputy Governor, Dr. Olayide Adelami; Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji; members of the State Executive Council; lawmakers; local government chairmen; traditional rulers; and party leaders.
