APC HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY PRIMARY YET TO COMMENCE IN ILE-OLUJI/OKEIGBO AS OTHER ONDO CONSTITUENCIES ROUND OFF EXERCISE
Reports gathered by Opima RealNews correspondent indicate that the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly primary election had yet to commence in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency as of the time of filing this report, despite the exercise nearing completion in several other constituencies across Ondo State.
Residents, party members, and observers were reportedly seen around the designated ward collation centre where the primary election was expected to take place. However, party officials and electoral materials were yet to arrive at the venue at the time of observation.
Some individuals at the venue expressed concern over the delay, stating that they were waiting for logistics and the arrival of officials expected to supervise the exercise, including representatives of the party and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
An electorate, who spoke on condition of anonymity, claimed that key leaders of the party in the local government area had not been seen at the venue.
According to the source, even top government officials from the area, including a commissioner serving in the state cabinet, were yet to appear at the centre during the period of observation.
The reason for the delay could not be independently confirmed at the time of this report.
Meanwhile, primary election exercises in several other state constituencies across Ondo State were reported to be progressing toward conclusion.
Opima RealNews will continue to monitor developments and provide updates as more information becomes available.
