APC HOUSE OF REPS PRIMARY: LARGE TURNOUT AS PARTY MEMBERS GATHER ACROSS ILE-OLUJI/OKEIGBO WARDS

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State have begun gathering at their various ward coalition centres ahead of the party’s House of Representatives primary election scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2026.

Correspondents of Opima RealNews who monitored the situation across the local government reported a significant turnout of party members and supporters as early as the morning hours, with many expressing readiness for the commencement of the exercise.

Security agencies were also sighted at several coalition centres to ensure law and order during the primary election process, while party faithful awaited the arrival of APC officials expected to supervise the exercise.

Checks conducted by Opima RealNews confirmed that all wards in the local government, from Ward 1 to Ward 10, were fully prepared for the conduct of the primary election.

Some party members who spoke with correspondents expressed optimism that the exercise would be peaceful, transparent, and credible, while urging aspirants and supporters to maintain unity regardless of the outcome.

The APC primary election is expected to determine the party’s candidate for the House of Representatives seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Party stakeholders have continued to appeal to members to conduct themselves peacefully and uphold the unity of the APC throughout the process.
