APC PRIMARY: AJILO’S CAMP ACCUSES MAKINDE’S SUPPORTERS OF SPREADING FAKE RESULTS AFTER PRIMARY ELECTION

The campaign team of Dr. Michael Akintomide Ajilo has accused supporters of Hon. Abiola Makinde of allegedly circulating unofficial election results and misinformation following the APC House of Representatives primary election in Ondo East and West Federal Constituency.

In a statement issued by the AJILO MHR 2027 Project Team, the group alleged that individuals linked to Hon. Makinde were attempting to mislead party members and the public through what it described as fabricated results from the primary election conducted on Saturday.

The statement specifically mentioned one Osaniro Pius, described as a former Assistant Organising Secretary in Ondo West Local Government and an associate of Hon. Makinde, alleging that he was being used to circulate unofficial information concerning the outcome of the exercise.

According to the group, the reported actions were aimed at creating confusion despite what it claimed was a clear victory for Dr. Michael Akintomide Ajilo in the APC primary election.

The team urged APC members, supporters and residents of the constituency to disregard any unofficial results or narratives being circulated on social media and other platforms, insisting that only the party leadership has the authority to release authentic outcomes of the election.

The statement further expressed confidence in the APC leadership, describing the party as one that upholds democratic principles, credibility and due process in the conduct of its internal elections.

“The people have spoken loudly and decisively in favour of Dr. Michael Akintomide Ajilo,” the statement read, while maintaining that the alleged misinformation campaign would not change the outcome of the exercise.

As of the time of filing this report, there had been no official response from Hon. Abiola Makinde or his supporters regarding the allegations raised by the Ajilo campaign team.
