APC UNITY AND LOYALTY REMAIN KEY TO ONDO POLITICAL STABILITY — STATE CHAIRMAN KOLAWOLE BABATUNDE


The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Hon. Kolawole Babatunde, has reaffirmed that party unity, loyalty, and a strong political structure remain essential to sustaining political stability and democratic progress in the state.

Hon. Babatunde made the remarks during a strategic stakeholders’ meeting attended by APC Local Government Chairmen, immediate past chairmen, party secretaries, and the 203 Ward Chairmen across Ondo State.

According to the APC chairman, the meeting was convened by the Governor of Ondo State and leader of the party in the state, Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, as part of ongoing consultations and preparations ahead of the forthcoming party primary elections.

Speaking at the gathering, Babatunde emphasized the need for unity, sacrifice, discipline, and continuous engagement among party leaders and members during the election season.

“As we all know, this is an election season, and in every democratic institution, periods like this demand wisdom, unity, sacrifice, and continuous engagement among leaders and stakeholders. That is one of the major reasons for this gathering,” he said.

The APC chairman noted that members of the party have a collective responsibility to support the decisions and direction of the party leadership in the interest of stability and democratic growth.

He stated that political institutions flourish through discipline, loyalty, and commitment to collective goals rather than individual ambitions.

“We, as party faithful, have a duty to perform, and whatever decision is taken by the party leaders, we are all bound to support and follow such decisions in the overall interest of the party and the stability of our democracy,” Babatunde added.

Hon. Babatunde also commended Governor Aiyedatiwa for what he described as purposeful leadership and unwavering commitment to strengthening the APC structure in Ondo State.

He maintained that loyalty remains the foundation for building enduring political institutions and sustaining party unity.

The APC chairman further assured members that the party leadership remains committed to supporting all aspirants in line with decisions reached through consultations and consensus within the party.

“In politics, no structure survives without loyalty, and no movement succeeds without sacrifice. That I am the party chairman today is not by my popularity alone, but by the benevolence, trust, and support of the Governor of our dear Sunshine State,” he stated.

He urged party members across the state to remain committed to the ideals of discipline, loyalty, and unity for the continued growth of the APC.

“We are all products of loyalty, and I want every member of the party to continue to demonstrate commitment, discipline, loyalty and dedication towards the unity, stability and progress of our great party. The strength of the APC lies not only in our numbers, but in our ability to stand together with one voice and one purpose,” he concluded.
