APC UNVEILS NATIONAL ASSEMBLY PRIMARY ELECTION, APPEAL COMMITTEES AHEAD OF PARTY EXERCISE
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the composition of its National Assembly Primary Election Committees and Primary Election Appeal Committees ahead of the party’s upcoming primary elections across the country.
In a statement issued on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Abuja, the party said the committees would oversee the conduct of the National Assembly primaries and handle appeals arising from the exercise.
According to the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the move is part of preparations aimed at ensuring a transparent, credible, and peaceful primary election process nationwide.
“The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby announces the composition of the Primary Election Committees and Primary Election Appeal Committees for the upcoming National Assembly Primary Elections,” the statement read.
The party also urged members, aspirants, and stakeholders to maintain peace and uphold democratic principles throughout the exercise.
“The Party urges all members and stakeholders to uphold transparency and fairness, and remain peaceful during the exercise,” Morka stated.
The released list contains committee members assigned to various states, including Anambra, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, and Ebonyi, among others.
The committees are expected to supervise the screening and conduct of the primaries, while the appeal panels will address petitions and complaints that may arise during the process.
The APC has continued consultations ahead of the primaries as political activities intensify across states in preparation for the next electoral cycle.
