COMR. MATHEW OLAJIDE-LED ONDO APC STATE ASSEMBLY PRIMARY COMMITTEE DECLARES HON. ROTIMI AKINWAMIDE WINNER IN ILE-OLUJI/OKEIGBO
Hon. Rotimi Akinwamide has officially emerged as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency ahead of the 2026 Ondo State House of Assembly election.
According to the official declaration of result form released by the APC Primary Election Committee led by Comr. Mathew Olajide, the primary election was held on May 20, 2026, for the party’s House of Assembly ticket in the constituency.
The result showed that Hon. Rotimi Akinwamide secured a total of 3,057 votes to defeat his opponent, Hon. Bosede Akinboyede, who polled 1,442 votes.
Following the conclusion of the collation process, the committee declared Hon. Rotimi Akinwamide as the duly elected APC candidate for the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo State Constituency, having scored the highest number of votes in the exercise.
The declaration form, signed by members of the APC Primary Election Committee chaired by Comr. Mathew Olajide, affirmed that the election was conducted in line with the constitution and guidelines of the party.
Political stakeholders and party supporters across the constituency have continued to react to the outcome of the exercise, describing the primary election as a major political development ahead of the forthcoming Ondo State House of Assembly election.
