SIMISOLA FAJEMIROKUN-AJAYI WITHDRAWS FROM HOUSE OF REPS RACE, PLEDGES CONTINUED SUPPORT FOR CONSTITUENCY

Hon. Simisola Fajemirokun-Ajayi has officially announced her withdrawal from the race for the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo & Odigbo Federal Constituency seat ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election.

In a statement released on Friday, the aspirant said her decision followed extensive consultations and respect for the directive of the party leadership.

According to her, the move was made in the interest of party unity and the overall progress of the constituency.

“After deep reflection, wide consultation, and respect for the directive of our party leadership, I hereby announce my decision to step down from the race for the Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo & Odigbo Federal Constituency seat,” the statement read.

Fajemirokun-Ajayi expressed appreciation to her supporters, especially women and party members who stood by her aspiration throughout the consultation period.

“To all the women who spoke with courage, and every supporter who stood with me, thank you. Your trust is not taken for granted,” she stated.

She emphasized that her withdrawal should not be seen as the end of her political engagement, but rather a strategic decision aimed at strengthening unity within the party.

“This decision is not an end, but a realignment in service of party unity and the greater good of our constituency,” she added.

The former aspirant reaffirmed her commitment to the development of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency, pledging to continue advocating for women empowerment and community advancement.

“I remain committed to the progress of Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo & Odigbo, and I will continue to work for the empowerment of our women and the advancement of our people,” she said.

Her withdrawal comes amid ongoing political consultations and alignments ahead of the APC National Assembly primaries in Ondo State.
