APC DISQUALIFIES HON. TAJUDEEN ADEFISOYE (SMALL ALHAJI) FROM IDANRE/IFEDORE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES PRIMARY
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released the names of House of Representatives aspirants who were screened but not cleared to participate in the party’s primary elections.
Among those affected is Hon. Tajudeen Adefisoye, popularly known as “Small Alhaji,” from the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency of Ondo State.
In a press statement issued on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from Abuja, the party stated that the screening exercise was conducted by its designated Screening Committees in line with established procedures and internal guidelines.
According to the statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, CON, the affected aspirants were not cleared following the party’s screening process ahead of the House of Representatives primary election.
Other aspirants from Ondo State listed as not cleared include Olusegun Victor Ategbole and Seun Oluwashina Ajongbolo from Akoko South-East/South-West Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Arowole Ayodeji Samuel from Owo/Ose Federal Constituency, as well as Morufu Tosin Ibrahim, Oseni Oyeniyi, and Olaleye John Adedipe from Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency.
The APC also published names of affected aspirants from Bauchi, Ebonyi, Kogi, and Rivers states.
The party explained that the screening exercise formed part of efforts to ensure adherence to party regulations and electoral guidelines ahead of the primaries.
The announcement has since generated reactions among party members and political observers, particularly within the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency, where Hon. Adefisoye remains a notable political figure.
