APC KICKS OFF REPS PRIMARIES IN 203 ONDO WARDS, PANEL HOLDS CRUCIAL AKURE STAKEHOLDERS’ MEETING


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has concluded arrangements for the conduct of its House of Representatives primary elections across the 203 wards in Ondo State.

Ahead of the exercise scheduled for Saturday, members of the party’s national primary election committee met with stakeholders at the APC State Secretariat in Akure to discuss modalities for a smooth and peaceful process.

The meeting was attended by Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, senior party officials, and several aspirants contesting for the party’s tickets in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking during the stakeholders’ meeting, Chairman of the National Assembly Primary Election Committee for Ondo State, Mr. Iboro Mahari from Rivers State, assured party members of a transparent and credible exercise.

He warned against any attempt to disrupt the process, stressing that security and orderliness would be maintained at all designated centres.

Mahari stated that voting would commence by 8:00 a.m. across all wards in the state, with delegates expected to elect candidates for the nine House of Representatives seats in Ondo State.

According to party officials, the meeting was part of efforts to ensure compliance with party guidelines and promote unity among stakeholders ahead of the primaries.

The APC has continued consultations nationwide as political activities intensify ahead of the next election cycle.
